Shell-Equinor UK unit Adura hires Spirit chief McCulloch as CEO

Spirit Energy’s chief Neil McCulloch will take the helm at Shell and Equinor’s joint unit Adura, poised to be the UK North Sea’s biggest oil and gas producer, the two majors said on Monday.

Adura, which was formed last December, is set to produce around 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day with the bulk coming from Shell’s output.

McCulloch has also held senior positions at North Sea oil and gas company EnQuest and at bigger groups OMV and BG Group.
