About the Event

Join us on Thursday 15th January for OGV Group’s ‘Business Breakfast’, where we will be joined by four market experts within the energy sector who will provide a review of 2025 and a market overview for 2026, highlighting opportunities and best practice for the supply chain.

As the industry prepares for an evolving energy mix in 2026, what plans are in place to ensure a managed transition with energy and job security at the forefront of our industry’s thinking and how can the UK supply chain best prepare itself for the future?

We are delighted to welcome presentations from four industry experts who will attempt to answer some of these important questions and provide our audience with an opportunity to engage with them through an insightful Q & A session for our first OGV Group Business Breakfast of the year!.

David will present an energy review of 2025 for the UKCS by framing key milestones, developments and explore how the future of the basin could unfold.


8:15am – 8:35am  Stuart Broadley – CEO of the EIC

Stuart will present on the current state of project bankability and FID’s, across all energy sectors globally, as well as highlighting the five golden rules of a healthy energy supply chain.


8:35am – 8:55amM​alcolm Forbes-Cable – VP of Upstream and Carbon Management at Wood Mackenzie  

Malcolm will provide an overview o​f ​the market across Oil & Gas and Renewables, citing key projects and opportunities for the supply chain​.


8:55 – 9:15amEd Howe – Policy & Strategy Director at Great British Energy 


​Ed will present on Great British Energy’s first Strategic Plan, which sets out how GBE will deliver on the mission given to it by the Secretary of State: ‘To become a national energy champion that develops, owns, and operates clean energy infrastructure for the benefit of workers, communities, and the UK public’.
