The highly anticipated ANYbotics Industry Forum (AIF) 2024 has again proven its role as the leading global platform for industrial inspection robots. This year’s event showcased groundbreaking advances in operational robot deployment, expansion of use cases, and real-life impact. Customers and partners shared first-hand insights and impact, demonstrating the transformative power of autonomous robotic inspections in industries such as Steel and Aluminium, Power, Oil & Gas, and Chemicals. Together with its partners and customers, ANYbotics underlines its role as the world's leading enterprise solution for industrial inspection robots, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with its innovative technologies and collaborative approach.
AIF 2024 focused on customer success stories and the continuous operation of ANYmal robots in complex and often hazardous brownfield environments. Customers from companies such as Novelis, DSM-Firmenich, SLB, Siemens AG, GMV, and Outokumpu shared their practical experiences, from reducing operating costs and addressing the shortage of skilled workers to improving safety standards. These compelling case studies underlined the tangible impact of autonomous inspection solutions, such as ANYmal, on operational efficiency and innovation across numerous sectors.
"The primary benefit of conducting regular missions with ANYmal is minimizing our employees' exposure to hazardous environments." - Thorsten Piniek, Vice President Health and Safety, Outokumpu.
In 2024, ANYbotics made significant progress in its global expansion. In addition to growing its global partner network, ANYbotics expanded its geographic footprint by establishing a local presence in the US market. Furthermore, participants were given an exclusive peek behind the scenes of the company's R&D roadmap, emphasizing the next level of reliability and continuous improvement of its enterprise-grade solutions. These innovations enable more robust, scalable deployments of autonomous inspection technologies across various industrial applications.
Key industry leaders, including AWS and NVIDIA, took the stage to emphasize the role of ANYmal robots in shaping the future of Industrial AI and Digital Twins. Their insights highlighted the transformative impact of autonomous robotics on the “industrial plants of the future,” driving the shift towards fully remote and automated operations, inspections, and maintenance workflows. ANYbotics is leading this revolution, empowering operators to more intelligent, safer, and more efficient industrial environments.
“At ANYbotics, we focus on scalability through AI-driven reliability, ease of use, and value creation. The AIF is key to sharing these advancements and connecting with industry leaders to shape the future of industrial inspection.” Dr. Péter Fankhauser, Co-Founder and CEO, ANYbotics.
ANYbotics showcased its latest developments in autonomous inspection, including the exclusive pre-launch of the Gas Guard solution, designed to revolutionize gas leak detection through real-time monitoring and acoustic imaging. Gas Guard provides 360-degree inspection coverage, enabling industrial facilities to detect leaks early, reduce emissions, and increase safety.
ANYbotics also introduced its Early Adopter Program (EAP), allowing select companies to deploy Gas Guard before its official market launch in early 2025. Existing customers such as Outokumpu and DSM-Firmenich have already joined the program. All existing and future participants will benefit from early access to series production, which will unlock significant cost savings by optimizing their processes around gas leak detection and quantification.
Beyond the insights presented by ANYbotics, customers, and partners on the main stage, the AIF provided a platform for direct and unfiltered exchange between developers and end users in interactive breakout sessions, workshops, and “Meet the Expert” forums. These hands-on sessions demonstrated the tangible impact of ANYbotics’ ecosystem partners, providing attendees with a deeper understanding and concrete examples of how operators can integrate autonomous robotics for different use cases.
“ANYbotics is leading the way in providing autonomous inspection solutions. Lots of our enterprise customers are already using AWS and looking for robotic solutions. With this partnership, ANYbotics will provide autonomous solutions to AWS customers. ” Ryan Qi, Global Business Development & GTM Leader, AWS.
ANYbotics continues to lead the future of autonomous robotic inspections by shaping a new category of solutions that redefine industrial standards. Through collaboration with customers and partners, the Forum is a powerful platform to showcase key milestones and insights, solidifying ANYbotics' position at the forefront of innovation.
In just two years, the ANYbotics Industry Forum has grown from 30 participants to over 100 in 2024, reflecting the increasing demand for autonomous inspection solutions. This growth underlines the Forum's important role in fostering innovation and cross-industry collaboration and cements ANYbotics' reputation as a pioneer for the future of industrial inspection.
The next ANYbotics Industry Forum will take place in September 2025 and promises even more insights and opportunities for collaboration. As it continues to evolve, the AIF will remain central to the leading companies in the industrial inspection sector.
