AIS Survivex named as finalists in the prestigious Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Awards

Leading energy training provider, AIS Survivex has beaten off stiff competition to reach the finals of the world’s first wind industry awards.

The GWO Safety Training Awards reward and acknowledge the best of the best amongst the world’s wind training providers.  This is the first year the Awards have run.

AIS Survivex is a finalist in two categories: training team of the year in Europe-Africa and training team of the year in 1500+ WINDA uploads.

The company, which is part of the 3t Energy Group, has been delivering GWO training since 2015 from its Renewables Training Centre of Excellence in North East England and offers the full suite of GWO courses. Last year, AIS Survivex expanded its GWO training capability into Scotland, investing a six-figure-sum into a new Aberdeen wind training facility to service the fast-growing Scottish renewables industry, as well as establishing a new partnership with ARCON in the USA to create a GWO training centre in Maryland for the US wind market.

AIS Survivex is also at the forefront of technological innovations such as the use of a digital twin in GWO Basic Technical Training and a delegate app to improve the learning experience.

Winners of the GWO Safety Training Awards will be announced at the Wind Europe Electric City Conference and Exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark in November.

Paul Knowles, Vice President of Training at 3t Energy Group, said: “We are thrilled to reach the finals of this high-profile global competition – the first of its kind for the wind industry.

“We know the delivery team makes an enormous difference to wind trainees in terms of acquiring skills, retaining knowledge and developing a safety-first mentality and our GWO instructors are the very best in the world - repeatedly going above and beyond to deliver the ultimate training experience.

“High GWO feedback scores, glowing internal surveys and overwhelmingly positive comments across social media are testament to the quality of our training provision – which is clearly acknowledged by our achievement in reaching the finals of these awards.

“We are really looking forward to the awards ceremony in November, giving us a chance to catch up with our clients and peers, and are keeping everything crossed for a great result.”
