Aker BP Gets Govt Approval For Acquisition of Lundin Energy’s Oil-and-Gas Business
Aker BP ASA said Monday that its acquisition of Lundin Energy AB’s oil-and-gas business has now received all necessary approvals from the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and the Norwegian Competition Authority.
The deal, originally announced at the end of 2021, will see Aker BP buy Lundin’s exploration and production assets valued at around 125 billion Norwegian kroner ($13.3 billion).
As previously announced, completion of the merger is expected on June 30.
