AREG Energy Futures Network to showcase industry experts who have made the switch to the low carbon sector
AREG’s second Energy Futures Network of the year will take place on Thursday, 24 August from 1-2pm (online).
A panel of industry experts will share their career journeys, providing key takeaways for attendees about the opportunities and challenges for those working within professional services.
The panel includes Beena Sharma, CEO at CCU International, Murray Duguid, founder of Energy Insider, James McIntyre, finance manager Sectoral Decarbonisation at Shell and Jamie Hunter, programme lead lawyer, EDF Renewables Solar, DCO Projects.
Research shows that over 90% of the North East of Scotland’s existing oil and gas workforce have ‘medium’ to ‘high’ skills transferability to adjacent energy sectors and the AREG network will show how industry experts have made the switch.
Chaired by AREG director and partner at Aberdeen Considine, Rod Hutchison, the meeting is a perfect opportunity to hear directly from those who have aligned their careers with opportunities in the low carbon space.
Open to members and non-members alike, the network will also meet in person later this year and is looking to hear your views as part of the conversation.
