Brava brings Atlanta FPSO online offshore Brazil

Brava Energia has produced first oil through the FPSO Atlanta on the Atlanta field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil.

Brava Energia produced first oil Dec. 31 through the FPSO Atlanta on the Atlanta field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil.
According to the company, it is the country’s first E&P independent to develop a deepwater production system from its initial phase.
Production started through the 6H and 7H wells, with hookup operations continuing for the four remaining wells (2H, 3H, 4H and 5H), and it is set to be completed by second-quarter 2025.
FPSO Atlanta is designed to produce up to 50,000 bbl/d of oil, treat 140,000 bbl/d of water and store up to 1.6 MMbbl of crude.
Elsewhere offshore Brazil, Brava has resumed production from the Papa-Terra field in the Campos Basin following authorization by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels. During the shutdown, the company advanced maintenance and integrity recovery work on the production systems, which should support future expansion of production from the reservoir.
Finally, Brava has completed its acquisition of the 23% stake held by QatarEnergy Brasil in the Abalone, Ostra and Argonauta offshore oil fields in the Campos Basin, collectively known as Parque das Conchas.
Shell operates with a 50% interest, with ONGC holding the remaining 27%.
From January to November last year, production averaged about 27,000 boe/d.
