CAN Group Shortlisted for Prestigious Offshore Safety Awards

CAN Group has been selected as a finalist in the Operational Integrity category in the prestigious 2022 Offshore Safety Awards, for its continued efforts in ensuring safe operations.

The market-leading life of asset integrity service company has been shortlisted for its innovative data intelligence solution, ENGAGE, that supports integrity needs across the full asset life cycle by connecting the dots between asset data and integrity to ensure safe and successful operations.

As a key contributor to the plant, personal and collective safety of those involved in hydrocarbon extraction and production, CAN Group are well aware of the challenges that face the North Sea as assets continue to go beyond their original design life and with a portfolio of aging assets, it is more important than ever to accurately understand the condition of assets and their infrastructure for the remainder of its life to ensure that safe, uninterrupted production is achievable and sustainable.

CAN Group know first-hand that many organisations are challenged by legacy issues of lost or disparate asset information spread across multiple systems, rather than one asset repository. This often leads to poor decision making and can be problematic for predicting hidden threats, which can cause a risk to human safety and a loss of production.

To help overcome the technological challenges of ensuring and maintaining safety critical asset information. CAN Group’s engineering professionals developed ENGAGE, a cloud-based data intelligence solution for managing all aspects of asset integrity.

The application provides enhanced visibility of integrity risks, enables real-time communication between on/offshore, and affords a single point of access for all aspects of the asset integrity process, from Risk-based Inspections; Planning of Work; Work-scope Creation and Electronic Workpack Preparation; Enactment and Reporting of Inspections through to Anomaly Management and Data Analysis. Taking data from multiple sources and processing it in to easily understood real-time information, end-users gain the knowledge to make informed decisions and the wisdom to ensure safe production.

By understanding historical data and controlling the present in near real-time, ENGAGE ensures that asset integrity can be accurately predicted and managed for the future - helping to ensure that assets can continue to operate safely, efficiently and successfully for years to come.

ENGAGE is just one example of an innovative solution brought to market by CAN Group and is at the core of its suite of applications to manage the end-to-end planning and management of work, ensuring users can see the ‘whole picture’ when it comes to their assets.

Gillian Farrell, CAN’s QHSE & Compliance Director, said: “Being selected as a finalist in this category demonstrates CAN Group’s continued dedication and commitment to ensuring that health and safety is at the forefront of its operations and the first principle in everything we do. We’re delighted to be recognised for our efforts and look forward to this year’s awards ceremony.”

The awards are taking place on 8 September 2022, for more information please visit https://oeuk.org.uk/event/offshore-safety-awards-2022/
