COMET lands in City Wharf

New Aberdeen office supports company’s continued development and industry focus.

Aberdeen, UK –19th February 2025– COMET, the Aberdeen-based provider of risk management and incident investigation software, is relocating to new headquarters as part of its ongoing expansion.

From February 28, 2025, COMET’s new office will be located at: City Wharf, Shiprow, Aberdeen

A move driven by growth and client support

The relocation reflects COMET’s strong business performance over the past year, which has seen the company expand its leadership team, secure major new contracts, and strengthen its partnerships across high-risk industries such as energy, construction, and maritime.

The new headquarters provides a modern, more collaborative space for COMET’s growing team and will continue to accommodate on-site training for clients, supporting its incident investigation, leadership, root cause analysis (RCA), and risk management programmes.

Mark Rushton, Chief Executive of COMET, said the move marks a significant milestone for the company:

“This move represents an exciting step for COMET as we continue to grow and evolve. The new office provides us with the space we need to scale, innovate, and enhance the support we offer to our clients.”

Strengthening market position

The move follows a period of sustained growth and strategic investment for COMET. Recent developments include:

  • Expansion of its leadership team, with Paul Hastings appointed as Head of Sales to drive global business development.
  • Dr. Douglas Leith’s transition to Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO), reinforcing COMET’s focus on data-driven risk intelligence.
  • New strategic partnerships, including a collaboration with Arcadis to enhance environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) solutions, and a partnership with PSS to drive safety and data intelligence in ports.
  • Significant client wins in Q4 2024, welcoming major organisations such as: TAQA, PX Group, Enfinium, NEO Energy, Diamond Drilling, Noble Drilling, Forth Ports, and Johnson Controls.

Commitment to Aberdeen and industry innovation

Previously operating as STC INSISO, COMET rebranded in Q2 2024 to reflect its evolution into a dedicated risk intelligence and investigation software as a service provider. While the company has a growing international footprint, it remains firmly rooted in Aberdeen, reinforcing its commitment to local industry, job creation, and innovation.

“Aberdeen has always been home to COMET, and this move ensures we have the right space to support our growth while continuing to serve our clients at the highest level. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to welcoming both our team and our clients to the new location,” Rushton added.

The company has assured clients, suppliers, and partners that the move will be seamless, with no disruption to operations. All correspondence, including billing and contract-related inquiries, should be directed to the new address from February 28.
