Completions market leader expands into India

An international leader in the provision of creative solutions for the oil and gas completions market has successfully enhanced its global footprint thanks to a significant new agreement with an Indian company.

Westhill-based Vulcan Completion Products (VCP) has formed a manufacturing and supply agreement with Mumbai-based Completion Production and Systems Pvt. Ltd (CPS). The relationship will see CPS manufacture completion products and accessories for VCP, including packers, bridge plugs, cement retainers, liner hangers and setting tools. CPS will also play a part in the development of future VCP product lines.

The move is seen as crucial in correctly positioning VCP to service a growing number of contracts in the Middle East, Caspian and AsiaPac regions by increasing locally available products and enhancing the company’s global manufacturing capabilities.

Vulcan Completion Products’ Ian Kirk commented: “India is an important market for us and it is where we need to be manufacturing to ensure efficient delivery of products and services to a growing regional client base.

“Working closely with our Scottish headquarters, this move will play a pivotal role in further enhancing our global footprint and realising our ambitious growth plans.”

Based at Westhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and specialising in design, manufacture and application, VCP draws on more than a century of combined industry experience to offer bespoke, innovative and ground-breaking solutions to explore new frontiers in application-based engineering solutions around the world. From centralisation, reamer and guide shoes to float equipment, cement plugs, stop collars and cable protectors VCP’s emphasis lies firmly on being a quality service provider, consistently exceeding client expectations.
