Developing Resilience with Intervention Rentals, Polaris Learning and Praesidio

Polaris Learning and Praesidio were delighted to work with a team of managers from Intervention Rentals to complete the new Developing Resilience ILM Recognised three-day programme. This is the first of three programmes being run with Intervention Rentals.

This intensive programme has been designed to help managers build on their resilience so that they can cope with the unpredictability in their roles, and be in the best position to take decisive action under pressure.

It is a challenging and intensive programme that requires participants to take into account human factors, and develop further the ability to stay in control of their own emotions in complex and demanding situations.

Intervention Rentals are committed to developing further the resilience of their people and recognise the importance of investing in their team.

Pat Laverty, Training and Competence Co-ordinator commented:

“I believe the Developing Resilience course delivered to our needs in a number of important ways. The overall course content made us all think about ourselves and how we affect others around about us in our daily roles. Our own individual strengths and weakness were highlighted as the course progressed, in combination with the ongoing assessment and use of the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) findings. The SDI gave us all a blueprint as to where we are all at from that perspective, and the areas that we all have to move into to be more resilient and perhaps be more understanding of our roles/peers.”

The course facilitators, Rob Diver and Graham Gall observed: “It was brilliant to work with the team at Intervention Rentals.  This is a business that wants the best for each one of its employees, and their commitment to building further on their team’s resilience, preparing them for what might come in the future, is admirable. Over the few, intensive, days that we worked together, it was clear that they are a resilient team of people. They seized the opportunity of this course to do everything that they could to always be in the strongest position possible to cope with whatever they face individually and as a business. Their approach and attitude are a credit to everyone working in high-risk industries.”

The Developing Resilience ILM Recognised is a joint programme between Praesidio and Polaris Learning.
