Jared Owen
Director for Digital and Entrepreneurship at Opportunity North East

Jared is a consulting and projects practitioner with 18 years’ experience and learning across the technology sector ranging from scale-ups in Aberdeen and Edinburgh to large enterprises such as AWS and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He specialising in mergers, acquisitions and divestments, business transformation, corporate strategy and making organisations fit for purpose in a changing environment. 
 
His role as Director for Digital and Entrepreneurship at Opportunity North East is focused on driving the development and delivery of transformational projects and programmes, to strengthen and diversify the region's economy and the creation of a vibrant digital capability embedded in the North East of Scotland.

Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy
Chief Data Scientist and Managing Director-India Centre at Halliburton

Dr. Satyam Priyadarshy, is a Technology Fellow, the Chief Data Scientist and Managing Director-India Centre at Halliburton, a global oilfield service company. He is recognized as the first Chief Data Scientist of the oil and gas industry. He has appeared as a keynote speaker at numerous international conferences, published research papers in many peer-reviewed journals and magazines. He serves/served on several advisory boards including SEG, OTC, SPE, ENGenious, and other industry organizations like Financial Times, World AI Show, CEB and Frost. Dr. Priyadarshy is visiting or adjunct or guest Professor at a number of Universities in USA and India. Dr. Priyadarshy obtained his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay and MBA from The Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech.

Steve Johnson 
Vice President of Digital, Engineering and Production Solutions at Petrofac

Steve has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, working in a number of senior roles focused on ensuring operational readiness, optimisation of performance, reliability and integrity management. 

In his current position, Steve is focused on enabling the enhancement of Petrofac’s operations and services through the adoption of technology and its integration into the heart of Petrofac’s service delivery. Steve has been integral to the creation of Petrofac’s digitalisation strategy globally, and in the inception of its state-of-the-art Innovation Zone in Aberdeen, which launched in 2018.

Colin Dawson
Digitalisation & Business Transformation Manager at Stena Drilling Ltd

Colin graduated RGU with both a First-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science and an MSc in Data Science (with distinction). Colin has over 10 years oil and gas experience and has worked with some of the major operators with responsibility for automation, standardisation and data science development. Colin successfully designed, developed, and delivered several transformation programmes & disruptive digital technologies within the Energy sector. Colin joined Stena Drilling in 2019 and is leading the way on their digital transformation program and further developing their agile business strategy through the “Evolve|Change is good Transformation is Better” innovation programme.”

Dan MillardFounder and Managing Director OF EservDan Millard is the Founder and Managing Director of Eserv International, a company that has rapidly become a leading 3D technology specialist to the international offshore energy industry.

A technology enthusiast professional with over 12 years’ experience, Dan began his career following an intense structured 4-year Engineering training program in Mechanical Engineering while working both onshore and offshore for a major Oil & Gas tier 1 contractor.  He has since experienced working on both North Sea offshore oil and gas brownfield projects with vast experience in the replacement of 100’s of ‘like for like’ piping repair orders through to large billion-pound projects.

Now leading Eserv, revolutionising offshore integrity and engineering 3D models through innovations in computer vision, data management and artificial intelligence (AI).  Building live, interactive and data-driven digital twin’s that allow operators to significantly reduce offshore survey and inspection costs, avoid failure to fits, cut work cycle times by half, lower inherent integrity and safety risk – and more.

Melinda Matthews-Clarkson
Chief Executive Officer at CodeClan

Melinda Matthews Clarkson has spent her 27 year career as a leader in technology. She is currently the CEO of CodeClan where she leverages her passion for people and her business skills to drive growth into the Scottish Digital Economy. Melinda has held roles as a VP of Sales, Global Executive of Business Development & Enablement, Director of Marketing and VP of Alliances and Partnerships.  

Melinda has a BS degree in Sales and Marketing Education; has certifications from UCLA Women in Leadership, Executive Coaching, and Mentoring from Edinburgh Coaching Academy, and has been recognized in the Top 100 Women in CRN Software Channel publication from 2014, 2015 and 2016.  She was recently nominated by Scottish Women in Technology as CEO of the Year 2018.
