Enteq Upstream hires new Business Development VP to drive technology development

Enteq Upstream (Enteq), the oilfield services technology and equipment supplier, announces the appointment of Suki Gill to Business Development Vice-President. The latest in a string of new hires solidifies Enteq’s ambition to strengthen Measurements and Logging while Drilling and Rotary Steerable System technologies for the directional drilling market.

An accomplished Petroleum Engineering graduate, Houston based Gill joins Enteq with 15-years’ experience under her belt, ranging from hands on Measurements and Logging while Drilling Engineering, multi-platform integration projects, training and operations management, spanning three continents. Joining at a time defined by significant growth ambitions, Gill will be responsible for driving the development of existing and emerging portfolio by collaborating with customers to ensure industry needs are being accurately identified and addressed.

Andrew Law, CEO, Enteq, comments: “As we continue to grow our global presence, having Suki on board as a technical industry expert will be pivotal when it comes to cementing our position as drivers of technology development. We are thrilled to welcome Suki on board and look forward to building on our existing success.”

Further to this position, Gill’s expertise in the industry is further solidified by her appointment as Chairperson to the MWD/LWD Sub-Committee, as part of the collaborative efforts of the International Association of Drilling contractors (IADC) and International Association of Directional Drilling (IADD) to develop a standardised metric for performance measurement in the directional drilling sector.

Jim Oberkircher, Executive Director, IADD, says: “The combination of field experience and operations management makes Suki an ideal Chairperson to lead in the development of a common scale for performance measurement. In helping to identify the proper workflow for MWD/LWD, the directional drilling sector will benefit from much needed streamlining which will, in turn result in performance improvement.”

Suki Gill, Business Development Vice-President, Enteq adds: “Technology development in isolation from the end user does not necessarily translate to progress. As Enteq’s order book continues to grow, fostering collaboration and re-engagement with customers will enable us to bring the solutions to market that will truly advance the progress of the sector in the areas it is most needed.”

On the Chairperson appointment, Gill continues: “This complementary role offers an exciting opportunity for additional cross-industry collaboration. I look forward to working with other technology experts, the IADC and IADD on the research and creation of some truly formative directional drilling industry performance standards.”

These appointments follow Andrew Law’s move to CEO along-side the hire of Neil Bird as Project Director to steer the development and growth of the SABER Tool.
