Four national award nominations for infinity partnership

Infinity Partnership, the Aberdeen accountancy and business advisory firm, has been shortlisted for four national awards. The business has been named a finalist in three categories at the 2018 British Accountancy Awards, and has been nominated in the 2018 Accounting Excellence Awards. Both award ceremonies take place in London in September. For the British awards, Infinity has been shortlisted in the Independent Firm of the Year (Scotland, Northern Ireland & North England). The business won regional British Accountancy Awards in 2015 and 2017. Infinity’s managing director Simon Cowie has been shortlisted for the Partner of the Year honour and will be hoping for a repeat of his 2016 success in the same category. Greg Houston, Infinity’s client manager, has been shortlisted for the fourth year in a row – having been highly commended in 2015 and 2016. He is a finalist in the Rising Star of the Year Category. Other businesses nominated in the 23 categories include PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Virgin Money, Paddy Power Betfair, University of Edinburgh and EasyJet. The British Accountancy Awards – hosted by comedian Josh Widdicombe – take place on Wednesday, September 26 at the Grosvenor House Hotel. In addition, Infinity has been named a finalist in the Small Practice of the Year category at the Accounting Excellence Awards, which will be hosted by Rachel Riley, co-presenter of TV’s Countdown, at the InterContinental Park Lane Hotel on Thursday, September 20. Simon said: “We’re thrilled to be nominated for four national awards. We’ve received these nominations due to our drive and commitment to deliver a service that exceeds expectations. These nominations confirm we’re delivering what our clients are looking for – a proactive accountancy business that works closely with management to deliver results. It’s exciting times for the business as we continually look to improve.” The latest success follows Infinity’s seven-figure investment in prestigious offices in the West End of the city in May (2018). Infinity now has a team of 20. Infinity has advised more than 100 start-ups in the past 18 months, supported companies with research and development (R&D) tax claims and helped clients with financial advice in light of the low oil price. In addition, its expertise has been sought by 6 PLCs(public limited companies).  Simon was named Scottish Dealmaker of the Year in 2009 and 2014.  Since 2011, he has completed more than 80 merger and acquisition deals worth over £325m. Infinity Partnership offers accountancy, business advisory, mergers and acquisitions, start-up and tax planning advice among its services.
