FourPhase secures new contracts and extensions while passing separation milestones
FourPhase, the solids and production performance specialist for the oil and gas sector, has secured three new or extended service contracts from major international operators. FourPhase desanders are instrumental in keeping sand producing wells open and running.
A major UKCS Operator extended a Solids Management Services contract first signed in 2022 for an additional 5 years, prolonging the agreement until 2029. The operator cites a continuous desanding operation producing approximately 1800 boed from a previously shut-in well as the primary reason for the extension. The operation will thus continue long-term, with a cyclonic DualFlow desander providing solids free production to retain the viability of the well and helping the platform reach the target lifting cost of ~$14/bbl. In addition, multiple other wells choked back by sand have been identified as candidates by the same operator in the near-term future.
This month, FourPhase has been awarded a 3-year contract, with an additional 2 x 1-year extension options, from a major UKCS Operator. Since 2020, FourPhase has regularly provided solids removal services for the operator on both short-term Coiled Tubing (CT) cleanouts and flowback operations plus longer-term production well applications.
A fast-growing, independent UK operator with a global reach is in the final steps of finalising a contract for Solids Management Services with FourPhase. The 5-year contract allows FourPhase to continue supporting their CT intervention projects, long-term desanding of production wells and online removal of sand from separators.
“Our new and ongoing contracts with major operators are a testament to the quality of services we provide as we move into a busy Q3/Q4 with activity at an all-time high. We have proven the long-term viability of our desanding solutions. With our rental business model, we provide operators with immediate remediation for sustained production rates, which would be impossible without active sand management. In addition, our systems help lower their carbon emissions”, said FourPhase CEO Øyvind Heradstveit.
FourPhase has also passed notable sand management milestones this year. The company has surpassed over 150 000 hours (17 years) of solids management operations while removing 760 000kg of sand with an average uptime of 99.5%(!). If it wasn’t for continuous sand removal, this amount of sand would soon lead to shut-in wells due to sand buildup in the wellbore and flowline.
