GDi have achieved a world’s first accreditation for Remote Visual Inspection using point cloud data and photographic images

We are very proud to announce that our Inspection Department achieved a significant milestone by being accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) against the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020, the international standard for bodies performing inspection.

The award by UKAS includes a world’s first accreditation of Remote Visual Inspection using point cloud data and photographic images. The method allows desktop visual inspection utilising our digital twin application, Vision. The Vision application is used as a powerful and efficient tool which allows Inspectors to remotely undertake both routine and intrusive visual inspections. Through our own in-house procedures & processes, GDi were able to demonstrate to UKAS the effectiveness of our Remote Visual Inspection system.
