General Electric (GE) has hired Moller-Maersk’s outgoing CFO Carolina Dybeck Happe as its new finance chief, who will replace Jamie Miller early next year.
The incoming chief financial officer will oversee GE’s global finance organisation and activities including accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, internal audit, and treasury.
Facing Dybeck Happe is the challenge of turning around GE’s balance sheet and reducing debt.
In addition to serving as CFO, Dybeck Happe will assume the role of Senior Vice President and will also lead the company’s digital technology and global operations.
Prior to joining global shipping company Maersk, Dyback Happe served as a senior executive at Swedish manufacturing conglomerate Assa Abloy.
