Hugh Fraser International completes Middle East net zero mandate for Global CCS Institute

It has been a busy month for Hugh Fraser International consultancy, with the completion of a major net zero mandate for Global CCS Institute and participation at energy events in Houston, Aberdeen and Abu Dhabi.

“May has certainly come in like a lion, and it was great to catch up with USA clients and connections at OTC 2022 in Houston and to contribute to the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) peer-to-peer Middle East event in Aberdeen. OTC has clearly re-emerged with a strong energy transition programme and, wearing my GlobalScot hat, let’s hope, like ADIPEC 2022, we will see the return of an official Scottish presence in 2023.” said Hugh Fraser; founder and managing partner of Hugh Fraser International speaking about his participation at OTC in Houston, Texas.

HFI has been dedicated to net zero goals, with its HFI Net Zero Legal Solutions having completed its mandate for the establishment of Global CCS Institute’s new Middle East branch at MASDAR City Free Zone in Abu Dhabi. “The recent appointment of Mohamed Abu Zahra as Head of MENA Region marks a major milestone, following on the appointment of new CEO, Jarad Daniel, last October, and the first Middle East members’ meeting takes place on 2 June. We wish Jarad, Mohamed and the team all the best for the Middle East initiative.” added Hugh Fraser.

The Institute’s arrival comes as the UAE declares its ambition to be a blue hydrogen powerhouse by 2030, a keynote at the EIC UAE Re-Connect 2022 event held in Abu Dhabi on 17th May. “We hope this will be the first of many projects involving our MASDAR Plus+ Corporate and Compliance Solutions” added Mr. Fraser.
