Hydraulics specialist underlines commitment to workplace safety with collaboration

A leading hydraulics specialist has partnered with a premier training provider to uplevel its commitment to improving workplace safety through training.

Saturn Fluid Engineering, which recently launched its Aberdeen-based integrity division Saturn Integrity Management Ltd, has teamed up with Fluid Power Scotland (FPS) to deliver best-in-class training which successfully combines unrivalled knowledge and facilities to present a unique offering.

The move is seen as a natural extension of Saturn’s existing service offering, enabling existing and new customers to tap into a one-of-a-kind, fresh offering from two well-known and highly regarded names.

Targeting professionals in the fluid power industry, the unparalleled portfolio includes a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills training which can be delivered at Saturn’s premises in Dyce, Aberdeen or at their Dundee headquarters.

The courses on offer have been reviewed and approved by industry bodies such as the BFPA (British Fluid Power Association) and Hydac to ensure instructor ability, qualifications and experience, and strict compliance with industry standards relating to course content, training and equipment, and assessment.  The portfolio covers a broad spectrum of needs including BFPA hose courses, accumulator training, hose installation, hydraulics and more.

Saturn Integrity General Manager Les Brown said: “This collaborative approach works well to enhance the services we already provide so it’s a natural extension which underlines our integrity.  As well as working well for the development of our own people, this new addition uplevels our offering to customers by working with a company we trust and know to be at the top of its game.”

Company co-founder Ewen Clunie added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Fluid Power Scotland to deliver a suite of training options which sit at the heart of our key target sectors, not only in their content and relevance but also in their location thanks to our brand-new Aberdeen base which is close to many existing and potential customers, and within easy reach of vital infrastructure links.”

James O’Regan of Fluid Power Scotland added: “Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom.  We offer a blend of traditional learning methods and hands-on practical training.  Together, Saturn and FPS are dedicated to supporting the fluid power industry, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and innovation.”

Saturn was founded by Ewen and Shona Clunie in 2016 and is primarily focused on working with clients across a range of sectors including defence, marine and energy.  It has a strong and enviable record of accomplishment in delivering dynamic, customer focused fluid management solutions using unrivalled technical expertise and support to consistently exceed customer expectations.  Overseas work accounts for some 50% of Saturn’s business and, as well as its headquarters in Dundee and planned growth in Aberdeen, Saturn already has premises in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, and Australia.
