EPI Group (EPI), a leading independent geoscience and geophysical consultancy to the energy industry, has appointed a new independent Non-Executive Director to support EPI’s continued growth. Fiona MacAulay brings three decades worth of oil and gas operator experience to the post.
MacAulay is currently the Chair of UK-based development and production focused operator, Independent Oil & Gas. She also holds a Non-Executive Director position with Coro Energy and is a member of Cairn India’s Exploration Advisory Board.
Andy Smart, CEO of EPI, said: “As we enter into our next phase of growth Fiona’s breadth and wealth of commercial and operational expertise will complement our robust team. Her network, market understanding and on-the-ground operator experience both with majors and independents positions her well to advise and mentor the management team as we diversify and further strengthen our position in the market.”
“EPI has weathered the industry storm and as the clouds clear, the road ahead is an exciting one. I’m pleased to be joining the board at such a pivotal time for the company. I hope to bring a fresh perspective to EPI – one where I’ve been in their customers’ shoes – to help Andy and the team continue to offer the very best geoscience and geophysical technical services to the industry.”, adds MacAulay.
MacAulay studied at UCL (BSc Geology) and Reading (MSc Sedimentology) before beginning her career at Mobil North Sea Limited. She has held a number of senior geological and operational positions with the likes of Amerada Hess Ltd and later British Gas. More recently she was COO for Rockhopper Exploration and CEO of Echo Energy.
