Investment in Operations Results in Safety Milestone for Atlantic Offshore
Atlantic Offshore, the leading Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) operator, has reached a significant health and safety landmark, recording four years without a lost time incident (LTI).
Atlantic sets a high example for outstanding QHSE performance in the ERRV sector and the industry milestone, which was reached in October, is reinforced by the company gaining its ISO 14001 accreditation during the same month.
The above achievements, coupled with the successful completion of an FPAL verification audit this summer, have resulted in 2018 being an extremely successful year for the company, from an operational and QHSE perspective. These successes have been borne through the implementation of a robust strategy of QHSE system development, comprising investment in digital technology and personnel training.
Atlantic Offshore Managing Director, Matthew Gordon says: “I am extremely proud that we have achieved four years LTI free. However, in this industry a health and safety achievement like that does not happen by chance; it is the by-product of a very specific focus upon company-wide operational excellence and a strong safety culture.
“The hard work and dedication of the entire team has been integral to reaching this point. I would like to sincerely thank all my colleagues, who have made a huge contribution to maintaining our exemplary attitude towards health and safety.”
With reference to the company’s increasing digitisation, he said: “Atlantic is one of the few companies to have digitised its ship management operations and we take great pride in that fact. It has undoubtedly helped us in our journey towards operational excellence.”
The Group continues to expand its capabilities within both the Norwegian and UK sector of the North Sea, providing cross-border solutions reflecting the needs of its clients.
Including the new vessels Atlantic Offshore Scotland’s have eight ERRVs, the Aeogpodium AS Group currently operates a fleet of eleven ERRVs and three Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs).
