IR Charity - Reach Across & Edenholme Care Home

Intervention Rentals are excited to announce their upcoming fund raising events that are being undertaken by their staff who are looking to support both a local charity and a care home that have directly impacted the lives of those employees taking part.

The first of the two challenges begin on the 8th August where Sarah Hogg and Craig McKechnie will set out from the firms sales & project office in Westhill to the main facility at Lunan, Montrose. This will be a hike of around 50 miles and one that is planned to be completed in two days.

The other challenge which will take place on the 9th August, will see Gordon Tait set out, again, from the sales & project office in Westhill on his road bike to the main office at Lunan via the Cairn ‘O’ Mount road, which will see him climb approximately (1,493 ft) and a total cycle of circa 53 miles. Gordon hopes to do this in about 4 hours.

The organisations that will benefit from these challenges are 'Reach Across', a mental health charity based in Arbroath and 'Edenholme Care Home' in Stonehaven.

Reach Across are a registered charity based in Arbroath, Scotland, who provide help and support for those experiencing mental health difficulties. The charity was set up by Sandra Ramsay, her son Ryan, and Donna Bow in 2015 following the loss of a loved one to suicide. Reach Across has received an over-whelming show of support from the local community which has now led Sandra to retire and focus on those in need of support. We urge anyone who is experiencing or knows anybody going through such difficulties to contact the charity.

Edenholme Care Home situated in the community of Stonehaven providing a service for older adults and supports 48 people and has a vision to offer opportunities of learning regardless of age and support people to engage in meaningful activities daily and strive to give everyone opportunities to live a fulfilling life. This summer Edenholme are planning an outdoor project that is to include a summer house, an outdoor eating area as well as an indoor living wall so everyone has access to the outdoors and money raised would go toward this project.

To make these efforts a success, the team at Intervention Rentals are relying on the generosity and support of their clients and the public and they would like to invite any supporters to donate what they can, as no matter how much the value of the donation, it will directly contribute to these two charities that do so much within their communities and this is why they are kindly asking for all donations to help them reach their fundraising goal of £2,000.
