Job creation on the cards as organisational refresh sparks growth

The Aberdeen office of a subsea and mechanical engineering specialist has announced that it intends to create jobs in the city as part of ambitious growth plans.

One year on from an organisational refresh, Imenco Subsea & Mechanical Engineering, UK division (part of Imenco AS) has successfully grown its service offering into a range of products which encompasses subsea engineering, intervention, and system design solutions. After 15 years operating in the UK, the move was seen as instrumental in correctly positioning the company for future expansion and was timed to coincide with its 45th anniversary.

A steady increase in Aberdeen-based mechanical department staff throughout the past 12 months has seen the team grow to four with further job creation anticipated as the company continues to develop tried and tested knowledge, technology and solutions from the energy sector to help fulfil growth ambitions in the decommissioning and renewables market.

With offices in Houston, Brazil and Norway Imenco Subsea & Mechanical Engineering has now set its sights on growing market share from its existing footprint and establishing a presence in the Middle East with the Aberdeen team set to play a central role in serving a growing number of customers in these key emerging markets.  They will be boosted by additional colleagues who are likely to join the team in the coming weeks and months.

Commenting on the company’s ambitions, UK Manager Subsea Mechanical Engineering Michael Noble said: “Throughout our 15 years in the UK, we have pivoted to ensure we keep our products and services exactly aligned with customer needs. It is this relationship-based expertise which will stand us in good stead as we seek to grow by sector and geography, creating a sustainable and viable future for our company within an evolving marketplace.”

Imenco Subsea & Mechanical Engineering Resources engineer solutions others can’t. The team’s expertise spans future technologies, renewables, aquaculture, marine/leisure marine, industrial, energy and defense, with global reach and a collaborative approach that delivers exceptional performance and cost efficiency.
