A male is currently being transferred from an oil platform in the North Sea to medical assistance in Aberdeen.
A Coastguard spokeswoman said: “We received a call around 9.50am today to reports of a male requiring medical assistance on an oil rig in the North Sea.
“The North Cormorant rig is located around 102 miles North East of Aberdeen where Rescue 900 from Sumburgh has been sent to.
“The casualty is currently being transferred to Aberdeen.”
