MONTIPOWER UK launches game-changing subsea tool at Offshore Europe

MontiPower UK, part of Cactus Industrial, will showcase the latest surface preparation technology from MONTI at SPE Offshore Europe 2019.

The event marks the launch of the Monti Cleantech Subsea Bristle Blaster B20 in the UK. The Cleantech Subsea Bristle Blaster is a game-changing technology for the North Sea oil and gas industry.

The hand-held profiling tool, using MONTI patented Bristle Blaster technology, is the first that can be used under water. It offers offshore oil and gas maintenance and asset integrity operators a complete surface preparation solution to remove subsea corrosion and profile steel and alloy surfaces through its blasting-without-grit technology.

In another UK first, MontiPower UK, part of Cactus Industrial, will be unveiling the Battery-operated Bristle Blaster, which offers the same blasting-without-grit surface profiling and corrosion removal as the electric and pneumatic Bristle Blasters, but no cables for quicker and easier above-water surface preparation. The Monti Cleantech Subsea Bristle Blaster B20, and the pneumatic Bristle Blaster are ATEX approved to be used safely in Zone 1 (potentially explosive atmospheres) areas. They will be shown on the MontiPower UK stand 2D80, along with the Battery-operated Bristle Blaster.
