New appointment announced as Petrasco positions for the upturn

A leading provider of international logistics solutions to the energy industry, Petrasco, has strengthened its management team with the promotion of a respected member of staff.

The Aberdeen-based company has announced that Ross Cochrane has taken on the role of client solutions manager. Formerly client solutions executive, the new post has been created in response to increased demand from oil and gas customers across all aspects of Petrasco’s service offering, from international freight movement to customs consultancy.

It will see Ross assume greater responsibility for business development and account management. In addition, he will play a key role in projects including digitalising the business through new processes and systems to better service customers’ requirements through innovative technological solutions.

Ross has worked for Petrasco for the past six years; initially, in an operations role before moving to the commercial team in January 2017. The company has also agreed to support Ross through a graduate apprenticeship in Business Management at Robert Gordon University (RGU), which he will balance with his work commitments.

Ross commented: “I look forward to continuing my career progression with Petrasco as we strive to be the logistics partner of choice for the oil, gas and energy industries. I believe Petrasco is the best place for me to further develop my career with the support and opportunities already given to me throughout my time with the company.

“I’m extremely grateful to the company for agreeing to support me through my graduate apprenticeship at RGU and the chance to implement the knowledge from the course into my day-to-day work.”

Working closely alongside regional manager Stuart Webster and general manager (commercial) Chris Milne, Ross will also be joined by a new client solutions pricing specialist – with an appointment expected imminently.
