Northeast Steel And Cladding Company Is To Represent Scotland In National Façade Awards

Local steel and cladding company, KR Group, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Façade Awards UK.

KR Group (Scotland) Ltd is thrilled to have been shortlisted for the Façade Awards 2022, a celebration of the very best in façade design across the UK from the past year.

Their work at Northfield Swimming Pool, on behalf of their client CHAP Group Ltd, has been recognised amongst the best roofing, cladding, and insulation examples in the UK.

The objective behind the Façade Awards is to raise awareness of the critical role façades play in modern architecture, reward excellence in façade design and promote the importance of collaboration between product manufacturers and contractors.

KR Group will be representing Scotland, as the only Scottish business to make the finals.

Following a series of awards finals this year, including the CeeD Awards, FSB Awards, and Northern Star Business Awards, the team at KR Group are hopeful.

KR Group was founded in 2003 by husband-and-wife duo Kenny and Nicola. It has since grown to service the construction industry nationally. Despite this, they remain rooted and loyal to the Northeast of Scotland. “We are still a family run business,” explains Director, Nicola Fraser.

“We are particularly proud as this was a project that involved a lot of problem solving and a meticulous installation process. Our team has been a credit to us, and their high standards of quality are to thank for this national recognition.”
