There was a number of reasons why we chose to enter the Offshore Achievement Awards this year. The awards are longstanding and well respected within the oil and gas industry, so we were keen that these be the first awards that we entered our SeaCure technology into. I was convinced by my colleagues that I should also enter the Young Professional’s category, and with their help, I am delighted that DeltaTek was shortlisted for not one, but two awards.
We’ve worked incredibly hard to create a business and technologies that make a genuine difference to the industry, being nominated for the Emerging Technology category goes to show that SeaCure is a game-changer. If we were to go on to win, it would be amazing. We believe that SeaCure has the ability to revolutionise the subsea cementing process and ultimately save rig time, and this platform allows us the opportunity and recognition from the industry to continue making a difference.
For the industry as a whole, awards like the OAA’s allow businesses to showcase up and coming technologies and the incredible work that both businesses and individuals within the oil and gas industry are doing to truly make a difference or improve the industry.
We’re looking forward to celebrating our success – regardless of the outcome on the night. We have achieved a lot in a relatively short space of time, and I suppose the night itself allows us to take stock and really enjoy it. Then there’s the bonus of being able to network with others in the industry.
