Although MDL has been working in the Oil and Gas and Maritime sectors since 1999, it has only been within the last 5 years that the company has been pursuing expansion into international markets with its innovative back-deck technology.

Submitting our entry into industry awards of this calibre is a powerful route to communicate the benefits and accessibility of the MDL technology to the correct audience - namely, professionals in the energy sector who understand the impact that our innovative back-deck systems have on offshore operations, to reduce the risk and cut overall costs.

What does it mean to your team/business to be a finalist or if you were to win?

SPE is a highly respected global organisation, therefore, the profile of these awards is equally as high. To be shortlisted in the Innovator category is great recognition and a true testament to the hard work put by our entire team into the research, development and delivery of back-deck systems and associated services that influence positive change in the industry.

For this year in particular, it has been said the standard of entries was outstanding, so to find our innovation among the top four submissions calls for a huge thank you to the judging panel but even more so our engineering and equipment delivery teams.
