Borr Drilling secures two contracts for a shallow-water rig in the Netherlands
Shallow-water driller Borr Drilling said it has won new contracts in the Netherlands and Congo for two of the company’s jack-up drilling units, adding $43 million in backlog.
In the Netherlands, the jack-up Prospector-1 has received separate binding letters of award from Dana Petroleum and One-Dyas for work in the Dutch North Sea.
Dana Petroleum is a one-well commitment, lasting 30 days, and expected to begin in November 2025.
The One-Dyas contract covers three wells over about 210 days, starting in December 2025. The One-Dyas award includes options that may extend the work by an additional 210 days.
In Congo, West Africa, the jack-up Natt has a one-well contract with New Age, lasting 60 days from November 2025.
New York-listed Borr also said its previously announced letter of award for the jack-up Odin in Mexico has converted into a contract and the rig has started operations.
The company operates only in the shallow-water sector and has a fleet of 24 jack-up drilling units, of which 22 are currently operating.
