Online Electronics Limited, based in Blackburn, Aberdeen are delighted to announce the appointment of Gavin Duncan as Research & Development Manager.
Gavin is a Chartered Electronic and Electrical Engineer with 33 years’ experience in R&D and Engineering roles and has spent 20 years working in senior management positions.
Commenting on his new role Gavin said “I am very pleased to be joining a successful innovative company like Online Electronics and leading and growing the R&D team. I am looking forward to the challenge of developing their current products and identifying new technologies that will reinforce their position in the current markets and move into and develop new markets.”
Gavin joins Online from Scotia Instrumentation Limited, and he has worked in Senior Engineering roles for a number of companies including JFD, Expro, Nautronix and Aker Solutions specialising in subsea production, intervention, commissioning and communication, downhole tools and harsh environment electronics systems.
“Online Electronics has a wide variety of skills that we are convinced can be used in other oil & gas segments as well as other end markets generally,” said Andy Marwood, Managing Director at Online. “Gavin has a distinguished career in Research, Development & Engineering across a much broader set of companies, end markets and segments than Online traditionally works in, and we are delighted to have an individual of this calibre and experience on the team to continue Online’s growth and development.”
