Opening Up Down Under - Torque Specialist Marks Milestone

An Aberdeen-based torque machine specialist has reached a significant milestone in its ambitious growth journey by announcing the opening of a new office in Australia.

EnerQuip Ltd, which is based at Findon on the outskirts of the city, has created EnerQuip Torque Solutions PTY Ltd. to better serve a growing client base in the APAC region with Craig Jackson to make the move from Scotland to head up operations on the ground, on a permanent basis.

The move follows hot on the heels of a recent major portfolio expansion thanks to the acquisition of the AMC product line from Forum Energy Technologies.  This has provided a springboard towards further growth, enabling EnerQuip Ltd to bring even more products to market, and support customers in local geo zones.

The acquisition saw EnerQuip Ltd take ownership of the intellectual property, people and assets of the AMC product line continuing an upwards trajectory which also includes strong 2022 sales spurred on by growing demand for products.

Commenting on the opening of the Australian office, EnerQuip Ltd Managing Director, Andrew Robins said: “We have worked hard to forge a strong reputation in this region and a permanent physical presence there will be invaluable in correctly positioning ourselves to serve a growing number of clients in that part of the world, whether new, existing or acquired as a result of our recent expansion.”

Craig Jackson added: “I am delighted to be playing a part in growing the EnerQuip Ltd brand in and around Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region, and I look forward to helping deliver an expanding range of excellent products and services in an exciting marketplace.”

EnerQuip Ltd manufacture torque machines at their facilities in Aberdeen and Caithness with overseas projects accounting for some 95% of work in 2021. The company now employs more than 70 people, including ten at Lybster in Caithness. It was founded in 2015 and specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of torque machines and associated products, including bucking units and fully rotational makeup and breakout torque machines which can be adapted to suit any application.  International hubs in Houston and Abu Dhabi work in parallel with the company’s global headquarters in Aberdeen and additional premises in Caithness to deliver products and services to a growing client base in the likes of Africa, North and South America, Canada, Europe, Far East, Australia, and the Middle East, as well as the UK.
