OSSO grows construction fleet fivefold and is on course to double revenue this year as it marks significant construction milestones

OSSO, specialists in fluid temperature control and separation solutions, has announced significant milestones in its construction division, including a 75% increase in revenue for the year to date.

Since its inception in 2022, under the leadership of Tristan Hughes, OSSO's construction unit has expanded its fleet of equipment by more than fivefold and developed an extensive customer base. The division has been involved in a variety of projects across the UK, including major infrastructure developments and is on track to double its revenue by the end of the financial year.

OSSO has followed a focused hiring strategy to keep pace with its growth, while also ensuring a comprehensive consultative service for all customers. This has seen it double its workforce this year, assembling a highly skilled team with expertise in project delivery, wastewater management, and chemical and process engineering.

James Scullion, CEO of OSSO, commented: “Our growth plan is driven by strategic investments in our people, technology, and solutions. By leveraging our heritage in oil and gas and decades of expertise in new areas like construction and geothermal, we're diversifying our income streams and positioning ourselves strongly for the future, particularly in energy transition and environmental solutions. The success we've achieved in construction validates our approach, and we’re excited about the opportunities for continued growth in these evolving sectors.”

With increasing public and regulatory scrutiny of wastewater management in construction, OSSO has invested significantly to develop a comprehensive construction service tailored for the industry, including the innovative WTS20 automated wastewater treatment system. Additionally, the business has introduced a CPD-accredited training course on water management, aimed at elevating industry standards and understanding.

Tristan Hughes, Business Unit Manager at OSSO, added: “I’m proud to lead a team with such deep expertise, offering comprehensive solutions to the challenges of water management in construction, and a truly consultative offering which aims to raise standards across the industry. From starting small, the growth we’ve achieved so far is remarkable, but is just the first phase of our growth plan. We will continue to invest in our people, equipment and solutions to ensure we keep providing a first-class service to customers.”

Construction is a key element of OSSO’s strategic expansion into environmental and energy transition sectors. The business has also made significant investments in geothermal energy, where it has also seen a doubling of revenue in the last year and established a specialised plate heat exchanger (PHE) service centre, extending its reach into various industries, including distilleries and food and beverage. This strategic shift has notably diversified OSSO's revenue streams, with 25% now derived from non-oil and gas projects. Additionally, OSSO has grown its UK customer base in the latest calendar year by 40%, with approximately 40% of these new customers coming from the construction sector.
