Pd ms secures further contract renewal with chrysaor in north sea

PD&MS Group has secured a contract renewal for up to two years with one of the UK’s leading independent E&P companies, Chrysaor, following successful delivery on the assets since they were purchased in 2017.

The award will see the firm continuing to support all of the operator’s North Sea facilities, including the Lomond, Everest and Armada installations.

The Aberdeen-headquartered business has carried out operations on the trio of assets since 2013, under the then-ownership of BG Group, through the transfer of assets to Shell UK Ltd in 2016; and, over the last 12 months, for Chrysaor.

The new campaign will see the international engineering company continue to deliver its services ranging from laser scanning, engineering, procurement and offshore construction and commissioning operations across all assets, supporting Chrysaor to deliver its significant planned investment programme.

PD&MS Group chief executive, Simon Rio, said: “This award demonstrates the strength and sustainability of our delivery model, which reduces the cost of EPCC services without compromising safety or quality. It’s also recognition of the alignment we have with our client and depth of our service offering and the efficiencies and savings this offers our clients.

“We are pleased to see our team’s hard work and commitment being recognised. Our excellent performance and the tangible continuous improvements and enhancements we have implemented has undoubtedly led to securing this award. We are proud to be part of Chrysaor’s success story.”

Earlier this year, PD&MS Group announced contract wins worth more than £10 million across three major North Sea late-life projects, making the firm the UKCS market leader in the area of engineering and construction of topside modifications for the decommissioning sector.

This included a multimillion-pound contract with Spirit Energy to decommission the topsides on two Morecambe Bay gas platforms, and two similar projects for two other major operators through offshore heavy lift contractor, Allseas Group S.A.
