Plexus wins second order for North Sea equipment

Aberdeen-based oil and gas engineering services business Plexus Holdings has won an order from a Norwegian firm to use its equipment in the North Sea.

The firm, which has developed a specialist system for wellhead engineering, has won the order from Oceaneering A/S for well abandonment operations in the North Sea.

Operations are expected to commence within the next eight weeks and to take approximately 10 days to complete. The order is the second Plexus has secured for its POS-SET connector.

Plexus believes the abandonment market has significant growth potential as a large number of ageing wells reach the end of their lives.

Plexus chief executive Ben Van Bilderbeek said: “We believe out technology delivers the very highest standard of integrity and long-term performance.

“I look forward to providing further updates on our progress as we look to fully realise the potential of our technology, and in the process generate value for all our shareholders."
