Driving efficiencies and greater ROI for clients through multi-disciplined In-Service Solution
The Scope
Texo Integrity+ were commissioned to perform NDT and Visual Inspections on the Main Crane A-Frame on-board a windfarm installation vessel in the Esbjerg shipyard. This included Magnetic Particle Inspection and Ultrasonic Testing of welds on all load path weld connections in accordance with DNVGL and NOV specifications. Whilst on-board, an additional work scope – NDT and Visual Inspection of Legs Structure was requested by the client.
Texo Integrity+ was able to accommodate this request due to its multi-disciplined Rope Access Team capabilities.

The Solution
Texo Integrity+ mobilised a multi-disciplined and multi-skilled Rope Access Team to not only carry out the Main Crane A-Frame and Leg NDT and Visual Inspections, but also to remedy the anomalies that were found. This enabled our team to repair the weld defects that were found on both critical structures. In addition to this, Texo Integrity+ also carried out mechanical preparation and painting of all inspected areas and any additional areas identified with coating breakdown. This provided the end-client with an integrated inspection, access and repair solution – delivered In-Service during this shipyard project.
The Result
Post project feedback from the client has been outstanding, with excellent scores across the spectrum for the project delivery metrics.
Specific client comments included:
“The team always acted in a professional manner – excellent service provided.”
