DROPS Survey
Driving efficiencies and greater ROI for clients through multi-disciplined In-Service Solution
The Scope
Texo Integrity+ were commissioned to carry out the annual DROPS Survey on-board a semi-submersible drilling facility deployed in the North Sea in September 2019.
The Solution
Texo Integrity+ mobilised a multi-disciplined and multi-skilled Rope Access Team to not only carry out the DROPS survey, but also to remedy any anomalies found. This provided the end-client with an integrated inspection, access and repair solution – delivered In-Service whilst the asset was operational.
Whilst on-board, the 3-man team, which consisted of an NDT Technician, a 6g Coded Welder and OPITO Stage 3 Rigger/Fabric Maintenance Leader, were able to react to new scopes of work as they arose including:
