Prospect 13 CEO Cerri McDonald released on bail after helping to raise over £63,000 for Maggie’s Aberdeen

The CEO of Aberdeen marketing agency Prospect 13, Cerri McDonald, officially secured her release from ‘jail’ on Friday after being locked up behind bars in the name of charity.

Cerri donned her jailbird stripes for her imprisonment last week as part of Maggie’s Aberdeen Jail or Bail charity challenge, which saw 14 prominent business leaders from across the city thrown in the slammer to raise funds for Maggie’s vital work supporting those affected by cancer.

After being arrested on charges of ‘MURDER…on the Dance Floor’, the ordeal saw Cerri, along with her fellow inmates, having ‘mug shots’ taken, facing a mock trial, then locked in a ‘cell’ with bail set by Sheriff, Jim Tierney.

Cerri fought to secure her freedom and thanks to the outpouring of generosity and support from her colleagues, friends, family and extensive network of valued clients, partners and suppliers, she smashed her fundraising target, raising £2,620 towards a combined total so far of £76,511.91, proving that even the most heinous dance crimes can be forgiven for a good cause.

On her release from jail, Cerri commented, “I am absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who contributed to the Maggie’s Aberdeen bail fund. Taking part in this challenge has been an unforgettable experience and we’ve had a lot of fun with it!

“I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported this campaign. Every penny has helped make a difference for those who need it most and will allow Maggie’s Aberdeen to continue its incredible support for families across the North-east.”

The team at Prospect 13, who were shocked at their CEO’s incarceration, expressed how proud they are of the outcome, “We always knew Cerri’s dance moves were questionable, but we never doubted that she would rise to the challenge for such a worthy cause,” said Ashleigh Walker, Prospect 13 Marketing Manager.

“This event has been a fantastic, creative way to support Maggie’s Aberdeen and we’re thrilled to have played a part in raising these crucial funds.”
