Repsol Sinopec rollout emissions.AI across their UKCS assets following a successful pilot project
Following the successful pilot of emissions.AI, Repsol Sinopec is extending the use of OPEX software to several of its UKCS operated assets in alignment with their Emission Management Plans.
As part of the company’s commitment to emissions reduction and Net Zero, the extended roll out will see the technology adopted across four installations.
Repsol Sinopec initially deployed OPEX’s emissions.AI on its Piper Bravo asset for a trial period of three months to evaluate and demonstrate how the technology can identify sources of operational emissions and provide tangible reduction opportunities.
Michael Brady, Field Manager at Repsol Sinopec said “We’re committed to operating our plant more efficiently, sustaining our oil and gas production whilst reducing our emissions. Using leading digital technologies aligns with this and Emissions.AI allows us to identify emission reduction opportunities quickly.”
“The technology will allow us to visually access granular energy and emissions intelligence through an intuitive web-based platform and identify quantifiable emissions reduction opportunities.”
James Shannon, VP Business Development at OPEX Group added, “While the development of leading-edge digital technologies is at the heart of what we do at OPEX, partnering with progressive companies like Repsol Sinopec and supporting them on the ambitious journey to Net Zero is what drives us every day.”
