Viper Innovations has marked another proud milestone with the official presentation of the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade. First announced in May 2025, the award recognises the company’s achievements in delivering innovative electrical integrity solutions to critical industries around the world.
Exporting has been central to Viper’s growth, driving its plans for global expansion and diversification. Over the past decade, the company has built a strong international presence, with exports now making up around 40 percent of its business and international revenue continuing to rise year on year. This progress is set to continue, supported by recurring revenues, proven technologies and the launch of new products.
The presentation took place at Viper’s Portishead headquarters, where His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, Mr Mohammed Saddiq, formally presented the award on behalf of His Majesty the King. During his visit, he had the opportunity to see demonstrations of several of Viper’s technologies, offering a first-hand view of the innovation and practical impact that underpinned the company’s success in securing the award. The occasion was a proud moment for everyone in attendance, marking the culmination of years of teamwork, dedication, and ambition.
The celebration continued across the Portishead, Aberdeen and Houston offices, bringing colleagues together to reflect on the company’s journey and collective achievements. It was an afternoon filled with pride and appreciation for the people whose expertise and collaboration have driven Viper’s continued growth and international success.
Managing Director Edward Davies shared his thanks and admiration for the entire team, recognising the award as a testament to their shared vision and commitment. He said, “The King’s Award is the UK’s foremost accolade for business achievement and to receive one for the second time is a privilege and further mark of distinction. It will benefit the business moving forward. But more than all this, it is recognition for what your individual and our cumulative efforts are achieving – a thriving, successful business, without which Viper Innovations Ltd is nothing more than a legal construct.”
The Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, Mr Mohammed Saddiq also praised the company’s progress, noting that the innovation taking place at Viper is remarkable. He highlighted the company’s continued diversification, including its work in the renewable sector, and expressed how strongly this resonated with him. He added that he believes Viper’s technology has the potential to support an even wider range of applications.
Viper Innovations continues to build on its international success through a focused growth strategy that combines strong customer partnerships with ongoing investment in innovation and technical excellence. This approach positions the company to continue to expand into new markets, strengthen its global presence, and achieve sustainable long-term growth.
