Safety software upgrades driven by customer engagement

Safety software upgrades driven by customer engagement

Process safety firm, Salus Technical, launched their software solution for streamlining risk management in 2019, with the intention of helping organisations to understand and manage the risks of major accident hazards.

A cloud-based application, Bowtie Master facilitates the building and sharing of bowtie diagrams. While these diagrams have been in use for a number of years as a risk assessment tool across a range of industrial sectors, Bowtie Master offers unprecedented capabilities to design, collaborate on and share them across disciplines and organisations.
Since the launch of Bowtie Master, Salus Technical estimate that around 167 users have built over 1,000 bowtie diagrams using the software.  The team consistently engage with customers, using their feedback to improve performance and usability. As a result of this ongoing dialogue, the Salus team are working on a number of changes and upgrades which will be rolled out this year, including:

  • Improved drag and drop functionality to improve element placement on the diagram;
  • Help widget pop-ups with links to key documentation, videos and customer support;
  • AutoSave functionality;
  • Improved risk matrices that can be customised to suit your organisation’s needs;
  • User-friendly excel export of bowtie diagram data;
  • The ability to show and hide individual pathways on a bowtie diagram.
