LONDON — Serica Energy has issued an operations update for its E&P interests in the Bruce and Triton area of the UK North Sea.
Around the Bruce hub, a recent intervention on the Keith Field K1 well was successful with production back online on June 8. Performance, however, has been intermittent due to topsides optimization measures.
A new 90-day program of well interventions on the Bruce Field platform is due to start in mid-July, with various activities lied up to enhance production and routine monitoring.
At Triton, the FPSO is operating with a single gas export compressor with repairs scheduled in October to restore two-compressor operations.
Last month, a trip on the available compressor led to no production via the FPSO for three weeks. Although full production has since been reestablished the “operating vulnerability,” as Serica put it, will remain until the second compressor is repaired.
The reservoir section of the B1z sidetrack (renamed the B6 well) on the Bittern Field, a sanctioned tieback to the Triton FPSO, has been drilled with initial logs confirming a good-quality, oil-filled reservoir.
After the well has been completed, testing should begin in August.
The COSL Innovator semisub rig is then due to transfer to the Gannet E Field to drill the GE-05 well, which should start producing in November.
