SPE And iCoTA To Open Conversations With Operators At Annual Conference
The Society of Petroleum Engineers Aberdeen (SPE Aberdeen) and the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association European Chapter (ICoTA Europe) are delighted to announce an exciting addition to their popular annual conference programme.
The SPE ICoTA 24th Well Intervention Conference, taking place on the 14 th and 15 th of November 2018, will include a designated Operator Stand within its large exhibition. This unique experience will give delegates the opportunity to speak directly to a minimum of 12 Operators over the two days. Delegates can openly discuss the challenges faced by Operators and the potential well intervention solutions that could meet their requirements.
Darren Paul from Shell will be chairing the conference and commented:
“The intent of the operator stand is to allow the operator community a chance to share what challenges and opportunities they have with the service sector. During conference planning we were looking for a way to give something back to the service community, who really make the conference what it is, and felt that guaranteeing the opportunity to speak with multiple operators over two days would do that. We hope that the introduction of the stand allows us to enhance the knowledge and lesson sharing, which is core to the purpose of ICoTA, and improve collaboration across the sector as we all work towards MER.”
Alan Quirke, Head of Well Management at Repsol Sinopec Resources UK, who are sponsoring the Operator Stand commented:
“The basic principle is that the Operator community are accessible on the exhibition floor during the two day event. We want to demonstrate our support for engaging and collaborating with a view to maximising value from our well intervention operations. The conference offers a fantastic opportunity for Operator’s to be present so that the entire well management community get an opportunity to discuss challenges, offer possible solutions and engage in positive conversation.”
Ian Retalic, ICoTA Europe Senior Chair, commented:
“This initiative in support of the conference is enormously encouraging with respect to the well intervention industry and, sends out a very strong message of endorsement from the Operator community that well intervention has a business critical role to play in securing a longer term industry future”.
The Operator Stand will be positioned in the exhibition hall at the SPE ICoTA 24th Well Intervention Conference on the 14 th and 15 th of November. Tickets for the conference, including 1-day and exhibition only options can be purchased at www.icota-europe.com/events.
