STC INSISO and Lloyds Register team-up to host first in-person post pandemic conference focused on ‘Living with risk’

Aberdeen-based STC INSISO has partnered with Lloyd’s Register to host the first of its kind post-pandemic, in-person HSE Innovation Conference which is centred on the theme ‘Living with Risk’, and how innovation and technology can be used to make the decisions that control risk effectively.

The event takes places on Thursday 7th October 2021 in London and will be opened by well-known doctor, journalist and comedian Phil Hammond as the keynote speaker.

As we look to the future beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will provide an opportunity to learn more about a range of innovative HSE tools and methodologies designed to deliver an exponential jump in safety performance.  Speakers including the HSE as well as hosts Lloyds Register and STC INSISO will deliver breakout sessions, expert panel Q&A sessions and real case studies.

Dr Phil Hammond will use the Keynote to stimulate the thinking around a number of themes, which both the medical and industrial world face, on the challenges of living with risk.

Mark Rushton, CEO at STC INSISO said: “We are delighted and extremely proud to be hosting this event with Lloyd’s Register, which will allow individuals the opportunity to safely network, and discuss a range of key HSE topics with like-minded professionals from a range of industries. The pandemic has taught us we will always be living with risk, and we need to consider how emerging thinking and technology can be used to positively impact our jobs and lives.

We are also very much looking forward to hearing from Phil Hammond, who will bring an insightful start to the day discussing his experiences from major health incidents, from the Bristol Heart Scandal of the 1990s through to the current global pandemic, truly providing attendees a thought-provoking discussion.”

The event also gives individuals the option to include the COMET User Group Workshop on Wednesday 6th October 2021. All aspects of innovation in the field of incident prevention will be discussed and debated as COMET continues to develop its technology footprint in the HSEQ space. The User Group Event offers a chance to explore the ongoing journey of COMET, to engage and share experiences with other users, and to influence the direction that new and evolving tools and processes under the COMET umbrella take.

The event is ‘not for profit’ with fees kept to a minimum and will adhere to Covid-19 guidance therefore there are limited places available. Book your place today by emailing info@stcglobal.net or for more details visit stcglobal.net and lr.org.
