Subsea technology rentals launches in asia pacific

Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR) are delighted to announce the launch of its Australian and Singapore Entities with the appointment of Jason French as Business Development Director for the region.

This strategic expansion is being driven by STR’s Board of Directors, following the recent success of our Aberdeen Office opening in July 2017. Scott Johnstone, Group Managing Director, STR said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of STR in the Asia Pacific region which will enable STR to deliver its full suite of technology and support services locally.

We believe this is a natural evolution for STR, who already cater to a variety of global customers from our Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth facilities within the United Kingdom. This expansion allows STR to service existing customersin Asia Pacific with the expertise they have grown to expect, but also allows us to develop relations with new customers locally”.

To lead STR’s expansion in Asia Pacific, STR have appointed Jason French as Business Development Director for the region. Jason, who began his Offshore Energy career 20 years ago in Great Yarmouth as part of Racal Survey is now based in Perth, Western Australia and joins us from Neptune Marine Services. Jason French said “I’m excited to be joining the team at STR having watched the organisation evolve over the years and expand internationally. Throughout my career I have been a user of rental equipment from offshore survey engineer level through to senior management and I have gained a good understanding of what is important to our customers and delivering key customer support in the Asia Pacific region”.

Scott Johnstone, Group Managing Director, STR said, “We are thrilled to welcome Jason to the STR team. My business partner and I have known Jason for over 13 years and through this time have watched Jason’s career flourish. Jason is a highly respected professional in the Offshore Energy Industry, and brings with him a wealth of experience that will further complement our expansion in region”.
