The Next Generation of Decommissioning Technology
An innovatively designed high pressure testing system is currently in production which will be used for the research and development of a transformative well plugging and abandonment technology.
KW Designed Solutions, a bespoke manufacturer of high pressure testing equipment was commissioned by Aberdeen based Clearwell Technology, a new disruptive oilfield technology provider.
Both KW and Clearwell’s engineers have worked closely together in designing this complex high pressure simulation system in order to prove the next generation decommissioning technology will operate safely, and as expected, in typical wellbore conditions.
The system includes a 400 bar (5,800 psi) hyperbaric test chamber with multiple ports and penetrations, operating between 0°C to 200°C. A gas booster module includes separate gas circuits for charging, maintaining, storing and controlling test times and gas flows.
Founded in Lancashire in 2004, the KW Designed Solutions team of twenty has many years’ experience with designing high pressure testing systems for research and development within the oil and gas sector.
