THREE60 Energy makes senior appointment to drive business growth

THREE60 Energy, the global energy services group, has bolstered its team with the appointment of Matthew Christie as Business Development Director for its Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC&C) service line.

He joins the business following a series of major contract wins, and will spearhead the firm’s domestic and international growth strategy across key regions, including the UK, Norway and South East Asia.

Matthew will be responsible for the continued growth and development of the newly-merged engineering, construction and commissioning divisions within the group, with a focus on providing a fully integrated offering across the project lifecycle and energy mix. This growth will be built on the company’s strong reputation for lean, technology-led solutions, delivered by a highly skilled and knowledgeable team.

He brings a wealth of experience to the role having held a number of commercial and business development positions within major energy services and consultancy organisations, with UK and global remits. These include specialist subsea services firm, Acteon Group, and Schlumberger, where he was responsible for client engagement under the company’s Asset Consulting Services division, which provides technical field development, facilities and production operations solutions.

Matthew’s appointment comes at a time of significant time of growth for THREE60 Energy, marked most recently by the award of a multi-million pound contract from Norwegian operator, DNO, for the provision of duty holder services for two assets in the UKCS.

THREE60 Energy Managing Director, Alasdair Smith, said: “Last year was our most successful to date and Matthew joins us at a particularly exciting stage in our organisation’s journey. He has shown a continuous drive and enthusiasm to deliver value to clients throughout his career, and has an excellent track record of understanding and responding to their needs. We are delighted he has joined the THREE60 Energy team.”

Commenting on his appointment, Matthew said: “With the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, and the transition to a net zero economy, there has never been a more important time for the services and solutions THREE60 Energy provides. I am excited to be part of the team, and have already been impressed by their focus on high quality delivery, cost efficiency and the ability to respond quickly to clients’ challenges, no matter the size or complexity. I look forward meeting new and existing customers, and supporting the realisation of the ambitions for the EPC&C business, both here in the UK and overseas.”

THREE60 Energy provides Subsurface, Wells, EPC&C and Operations asset lifecycle services with offices in Aberdeen, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taipei, Bergen, Stavanger, Brisbane and Jakarta.
