Torque Specialist Announces Expansion

An Aberdeen-based company which specialises in torque machines has announced £1 million-pound expansion to cope with growing demand for products and services.

Enerquip, who manufacture torque machines at their facilities in Aberdeen and Caithness, have expanded into additional premises close to their global headquarters in a move which has led to the creation of four jobs, with more expected to follow.

The new rented workshop and yard space extends to 8,000 square feet and is located at Blackness Industrial Centre, Blackness Road, within easy reach of existing operations at Wellington Circle in the city.  The new workshop will facilitate increased fabrication throughput for the growing company which employs about 60 staff in Aberdeen, Caithness, Houston and Abu Dhabi.  The company is also looking to secure an additional workshop unit in Aberdeen that may create a further six jobs within the company.

Enerquip was founded in 2015 and turnover of £12 million is anticipated during the current financial year.  The company is a market-leading specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of torque machines and associated products, including bucking units and fully rotational makeup and breakout torque machines which can be adapted to suit any application. A highly skilled team with combined experience of more than 100 years delivers 24/7, 365 support and works with a growing client base in Africa, North and South America, Canada, Europe, Far East, Australia, Middle East and Russia.

Commenting on the company’s expansion, Enerquip Director Andrew Robins said: “Although we are a young company, we already have a very strong track record in providing bespoke, customer-led solutions.  This additional space will help us to continue with our ambitious growth plans by expanding capacity.

Fellow Director John Duncan added: “Our growth in UK and international markets continues and this new building will create a springboard from which we can further enhance our global footprint in key markets.”
