TotalEnergies reestablishes gas flow from Dan field into Tyra redevelopment

TotalEnergies is nearing the restart of gas production through the redeveloped Tyra complex (Tyra II) in the Danish North Sea as gas from Dan F platform entered the redeveloped system on Mar. 16, according to operator TotalEnergies E&P Denmark.

Tyra II represents the central hub for Danish natural gas production in the North Sea (OGJ Online, Jan. 23, 2024). It not only processes the gas from Tyra field but also from the surrounding satellites and Dan field.

Preparation for the restart will require a variance of gas volumes to be consumed for a period of 5-12 days. These volumes are not expected to reach the Danish market.

Depending on continued progress, the expected start-up date of Tyra II remains in March, with arrival of gas from Tyra II to Denmark expected between March 21-31, 2024, after repressurization of the pipeline from Tyra to Nybro, the operator said.

The flow of gas from Dan field is the first to be reestablished to the Tyra hub. TotalEnergies will gradually reestablish gas flow from Harald, Svend, Roar, and Valdemar, and the wells from Tyra field (Southeast, West, and East).
