Zenith increases engineering team to gear up for new projects

With a projected increase in well management work in the coming 12 months, Zenith Energy has increased its engineering team with two appointments.

Drilling engineers, Joe Wightman and Darran Falconer, have joined the team at Zenith, which specialises in well engineering and project management, bringing staff numbers to 20 across its offices in Aberdeen and Australia.

Joe, who will initially be based in the Aberdeen HQ planning a 2020 drilling campaign, has eight years of experience in the industry as a completions supervisor and wellsite engineer working in field development, as well as decommissioning, intervention and abandonment.

Darran is currently based on a Zenith onshore drilling project for SDX Energy in Morocco.  He also has eight years of experience in oil and gas in plug and abandonment operations and has spent the past two years as an offshore drilling engineer in the North Sea.

Managing director of Zenith, Martin Booth, said: “We are gearing up for a number of 2020 projects in the well management side of the business so we are ensuring that we have the key staff in position to deliver on our client contract requirements.

“Joe and Darran each bring a strong set of skills and expertise to the business which will complement the rest of the team and be an asset to our clients as we look towards delivering projects in Chad, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and the UK in the coming 12 months.”

Zenith Energy provides specialist expertise for the complete well life cycle from the conceptual design phases through to field development planning, well operations, well intervention and well abandonments.

In recent years, Zenith expanded its client base and successfully completed work in the UK, Egypt, Italy Equatorial Guinea and Australia, and currently works with over 45 clients in 21 countries .
